Shadow rolls with the force

Apparently Sega is making a spin-off of Sonic featuring Shadow.

"...it was hard to miss Shadow packing some heat. Yes, the dark hedgehog rolls strapped with a pistol of some kind, and he appears to have no qualms about using to take out fools in his way."

Say What? I Feel like playing some DMX or something to really set the right mood. I'm not sure which I'm more disturbed with, the way Sega's going with its games or how the article was phrased. Funny thing is I knew Sega was planning something when I took the 'Which chracter do you like more and would like to see in their own game' quiz. Ok so that wasn't the name but you get the idea.
